On June 4, 2026, Banfert's Work Safety Month campaign officially commenced at the company's headquarters auditorium.
Stepping into the auditorium,you would see employees one after another solemnly affixing their signatures to the themed banner to affirm their safety commitments. Following the signing, all staff rose and recited the oath in unison: "I champion work safety, I master emergency response, and I actively identify and rectify risks and hidden dangers!" The powerful pledge resounded through the hall, instilling a deep sense of safety accountability in every participant.
Immediately after the oath-taking, the EHS Management Department delivered a special training session for Work Safety Month. The curriculum covered work safety laws and regulations, safe operation of equipment and facilities, chemical production and storage, as well as inspection and maintenance. With professional instructors and practical case studies drawn from the industry, employees gained a thorough understanding of the paramount importance of work safety.
Fire and water are merciless, and fire safety management in the chemical industry leaves no room for negligence.
This year's Work Safety Month featured a dedicated firefighting skills contest, comprising three modules: fire suppression with portable extinguishers, fire suppression with wheeled extinguishers, and fire suppression with fire hose nozzle.
On the competition floor, contestants demonstrated practiced skill and seamless teamwork – lifting extinguishers, pulling safety pins, and aiming at the base of the fire source in one fluid motion. In the segment of fire suppression with fire hose nozzle, competitors swiftly connected hoses, opened valves, and aimed and discharged with precision,quickly and crisply.
One team clinched first place by completing all three modules in an impressive 1 minute 10 seconds, drawing enthusiastic applause from the audience.
Warehousing and logistics form a vital link in the company's operations, and forklift handling proficiency is critical to safe material transport.
In June, the Warehousing and Logistics Department hosted a forklift skills competition. The contest consisted of two components: a written examination covering safety operating procedures and theoretical knowledge, and a practical skills segment featuring three high-difficulty tasks – navigating an S-curve with cargo, stacking pallets, and transporting a water-laden pallet smoothly and steadily.
At the referee's whistle, contestants maneuvered their forklifts with meticulous precision, executing cargo handling, serpentine driving, and pallet stacking. The most technically demanding task was the "water-pallet transport" – competitors had to securely lift a container filled with water and deliver it from the warehouse to the production workshop. Drawing on solid professional expertise, all contestants completed the tasks with stability, accuracy, speed, and skill, creating a dynamic atmosphere of competing,learning,chasing and surpassing.
Work safety prioritizes risk prevention.
Throughout Work Safety Month, Banfert's top management spearheaded a company-wide campaign for hazard identification and rectification. The leadership rigorously implemented the "Five Leading Responsibilities" – taking the lead in conducting hazard inspections across all production zones and launching special inspections for high-risk operations including hot work and electrical work. Inspections covered every potential risk point, ranging from production workshops and storage warehouses to equipment, facilities, and operating procedures. A closed-loop management system encompassing inspection, rectification, and verification was fully enforced to build a solid defense line for work safety.
Laws and regulations form the cornerstone of work safety. This month, the company organized a special campaign to promote the the Hazardous Chemicals Safety Law,which officially took effect on May 1, 2026. The EHS Management Department procured and distributed hard copies of the Hazardous Chemicals Safety Law, together with the Work Safety Law and employee safety handbooks, to every staff member – one copy per person – with departments maintaining detailed distribution logs.
Distribution alone is not enough, however – true understanding is what matters. The company required all employees to study the legal provisions independently during pre-shift briefings and off-duty hours, with a focus on key clauses covering hazardous chemical storage, work permit approval procedures, personnel responsibilities, accident accountability, and disciplinary actions for violations. At each daily pre-shift meeting, team leaders selected core legal clauses and explained them in the context of actual coating industry scenarios, transforming legal provisions from written rules into practical workplace practices. This initiative guided all employees to learn, observe, and apply the law, substantially enhancing their capacity to conduct compliant production and prevent risks in accordance with regulatory standards.
"Material leakage detected in the Class-A hazardous workplace – initiate emergency response immediately!"
At the alarm, a fully realistic chemical spill emergency drill was launched. The exercise was tailored to the high-risk characteristics of the Class-A hazardous workplace – low flash point, high volatility, and susceptibility to flash explosions – and complied with the highest safety standards for Class-A production premises. The entire emergency procedure was simulated from start to finish: leakage, vapor accumulation, explosion-proof isolation, ventilation dilution, adsorption and plugging, and full personnel evacuation. Every step served as a rigorous test of real-world response capability.
Over the course of one month, Banfert translated the principle of "Everyone champions work safety, everyone masters emergency response" from a slogan into concrete action through a series of substantive activities. Every signature on the banner, every sprint on the competition floor, and every bead of sweat shed during the drills embodies Banfert employees' most authentic commitment to work safety.
Work safety does not end in June. Taking this year's Work Safety Month as a starting point, Banfert will continue to institutionalize regulatory training, safety education, and emergency drills on an ongoing basis, steadily elevating the company's overall safety management standards. The goal is to embed safety awareness into every day, every position, and every operational detail.
